OSCARS operates fifteen After School Clubs and breakfast clubs catering for over five hundred children aged 5-12 years daily, five holiday programme activity camps catering for up to three hundred children and teenagers daily.
OSCARS is located in Central Edinburgh, has a small head office team and up to 100 Part time workers and holiday vacation staff. We have ambitious plans to grow in a controlled manner and we require an Administrator to assist us with this growth.
This is a Generalist Administrative role dealing with all aspects of our business and reporting directly to the Office Manager. You will work closely with the OSCARS team and liaise with all of our after school club sites.
Between £15k and £16,000k per annum, generous holiday allowance, pension scheme and free childcare at OSCARS holiday programmes and after school clubs
Key Responsibilities include:
Answering the main line telephones in the office and fielding messages and information as appropriate
Distribution of e mails from our central system to intended recipients and the distribution of mail daily and sending of all OSCARS outgoing mail
Taking and amending bookings for our after school club, holiday programme and breakfast clubs
Providing a friendly and professional point of contact for parents of OSCARS After School Clubs on a daily basis, and doing the same for holiday programme and international clients on a seasonal basis
Gaining feedback from parents/clients and passing on this information to relevant Managers
Generating reports from databases as required
Utilising our ‘CLASS’ registration system and maximising its potential
Updating clients records in line with client requests
Providing support with credit control and running reports on debtors
Updating OSCARS Facebook & Social Media sites.
Ordering Company stationary for Head Office and satellite OSCARS venues.
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, strong communication skills, administrative skills, and familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office. You will be confident of your computer skills and be responsive to learning a new registration system. You will be committed and not afraid of hard work, and be confident in dealing with clients in a tactful and diplomatic way. You will have a sense of humour and be approachable, friendly and have a professional manner.
Ideally the successful candidate will be able to commence in August 2016
