Description
Raptor R chassis spec.
Chassis is made from 25mm square section tubing. There is additional bracing around the wishbone and suspension mounts.
Larger internal cockpits, our standard chassis will comfortably fit driver’s upto 6’ 4”. There is also an option for us to supply a chassis for drivers upto 6’ 7” at an additional cost.
The front inboard suspension package is one of the biggest advantages of this chassis in that the shockers are mounted central within the chassis. This means that the suspension spring and damper units are out of the airstream therefore drag is reduced and airflow is "cleaner”.
Significant advantages in adjustment, as you can modify motion ratio/spring ratio with the rocker arms.
Less Un-sprung weight. Moving these suspension components inboard, their weights are no longer carried by the lower control arm.
Significant advantages in ride quality and handling over standard out board spring and shock absorber chassis setup.
As of July 2014, all Raptor R chassis get a free upgrade to light weight tubular wishbone setup, the tubular wishbones are standard fitment to the Raptor RR’s.
The R/RR chassis have one of the widest tracks, thus improving stability and handling. It should also be noted that track is even between the front and rear axles.
Total weight of the chassis is approx 50kg.
Chassis comes complete with harness mounting point, brake pipe support brakes and fuel tank supports. With our Bike engine chassis, electric reverse kit mounting bosses and gear lever mounting brackets are also pre fitted.
