Housekeeper and Food Service Assistant Required for 5* Independent Care Home, Burford. 7.84PH
Full and Part time hours available
Set within the beautiful Cotswold town of Burford, this 51-bedroom private care home is seeking Housekeepers to join their Hotel Service Team. The home is divided into two areas; one has been designed for those who require personal care, or some help with daily life, and four smaller areas are for those residents who require regular nursing care. All rooms are en-suite.
The home is owned by a very well respected independent care group who pride themselves on creating an exceptional environment for their residents. They have 9 homes throughout the UK, which have won numerous awards, and they continue to be recognized for the quality of the care they provide, as employers and for the nurturing home environments they create for their residents.
The role of Housekeeper is key to the smooth running of the home. This is a privileged position as you are working within their own home environment so we are seeking a people-person who is happy to interact with those living here. You must be friendly and respectful as well as able to undertake the duties below effectively.
Primary Duties:
To conduct the general cleaning of all areas including bedrooms, lounges, dining areas, toilets, bathrooms, offices, corridors, inside windows and all fixtures and fittings.
To adhere to cleaning methods, observing hygiene practices, to prevent any cross infection.
To observe the correct use and care of equipment reporting promptly any defects in machinery or materials.
To take a personal responsibility in becoming fully aware and observant of Health and Safety policy and COSHH reporting any accidents and hazards.
To carry out instructions accurately, following work schedules laid down within specified time limits whilst observing resident requests.
To participate in staff meetings as requested and attend in-service training sessions.
To provide assistance to other staff as directed by the Hotel Service Manager/Housekeeping Manager.
To inform Care/Nursing Staff of any resident concerns observed.
